Home of the LoRISK (Local Risk Information System) platform, currently in development. LoRISK extracts and aligns disaster event data across three streams — the Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS), the humanitarian platform ReliefWeb, and local Ugandan news — closing the gap between what global databases report and what is actually happening on the ground.
Once live, LoRISK will compare these streams against verified ground truth, such as national coordination centre records, to reveal exactly where global reporting lags, misses, or misrepresents an unfolding event. The goal is to equip national coordination centres, humanitarian agencies, and local policymakers with a clearer, faster picture of what is actually happening, so resources reach the right district before they're needed, not after.
We're building the pipeline now. Reach out to follow progress, partner with us, or get notified the moment the dashboard and API launch.
